This photographic project explored the contrasts found on the site of the old Innocenti factory in the Lambrate neighbourhood, at the edge of Milan. The industrial complex was first built in 1933, and it was exploited for 60 years until the end of production in 1993. Shortly thereafter, a residential complex as well as a park replaced the western half of the plot while the eastern part has stayed abandoned and overgrown.

The aim was to show the stark contrast between the used and disused parts of the terrain by using similar points of view applied to analogous spatial conditions. Central perspectives were chosen for each picture to clearly show each space on the same level while exacerbating the differences present in the architectonic and biological elements furnishing these spaces.
